The funeral for Sherrice Iverson, the 7 year old girl raped and killed at a Nevada casino over the Memorial Day holiday was held in Los Angeles yesterday.

The Strohmeyer trial begins tomorrow, if convicted 19-year-old Jeremy Strohmeyer could be facing the death penalty for the molestation and strangulation of Sherrice Iverson. Police say that Stromeyer confessed to the killing of the little girl "to experience death." One of Strohmeyer's friends is expected to be a key witness in the trial. Authorities say that David Cash Junior was told by Strohmeyer that he killed the girl.

A 19-year-old Berkley sophomore saw his friend attack seven-year old Sherrice Iverson in a casino bathroom and has admitted he walked away without stopping it. David Cash Junior remained silent even after Jeremy Strohmeyer allegedly told him he killed the girl. Strohmeyer's murder trial begins August 31st in Las Vegas.
